After that year, the sawmill began its operation as part of the company Notranjsko gozdno gospodarstvo Postojna or the company Lesnoindustrijsko podjetje Postojna. At that time, the capacity of the Belsko plant reached around 4,500 m3 of sawn wood per year.

OLD SIGN OF JAVOR On January 1, the Belsko plant, as well as other plants of the company Lesnoindustrijsko podjetje Postojna (LIP), became part of the company “JAVOR” from Pivka.
1964
START OF PRODUCTION OF SHUTTERING PANELS 1,179 m3 of shuttering panels were made in the first year. Already at that time, almost all of the production was export-oriented, mostly to Switzerland and West Germany.
1970
Until 1970, shuttering panels were produced according to the originally conceived technology: while still fresh, boards intended for shuttering panels (25 mm thick) were split by diameter, then artificially dried and thus shuttering panels were produced. Such production had a number of flaws: poor rate of utilization of sawn wood, low-quality surface gluing, longer production time… All these flaws dictated a change in production technology.
1971
TRANSITION TO THE SO-CALLED SANDWICH PRODUCTION SYSTEM After the purchase of basic machines (horizontal splitters, multi-blade circular saws for width-cutting of boards, multi-blade circular saws for core cutting, hydraulic presses…) and the construction of a new dryer in 1971, they gradually switched to a new technology of shuttering panel production, the so-called sandwich system. In this way, the flaws of the original technology were eliminated. They achieved higher quality, especially in surface gluing and melamine glue surface treatment.
1972
The construction of new business premises.
1978
On September 16, the grand opening of a new modern shuttering panel factory took place.

ENVIRONMENTAL
AWARENESS

We are aware that our environment and health are our greatest assets. The first step towards environmental awareness is offering wood pellets for heating without any additives and thus having a minimal impact on our environment. This way we transform the wood sawing by-product into a product with useful value.
